Windy Gap is owned and operated by Young Life. and is located 15 minutes north of Asheville, North Carolina, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Enjoy a variety of activties with up to 400 of your friends, including a High Ropes Course, Lake Zip Line, Giant Swing, Hot Tub, Swimming Pool, Blob, Gym, Game Room, and so much more!
Windy Gap is used as an effective location for school year camping in the Southeast, and for all of the eastern United States for summer camping.
Total summer campers and leaders - 5,350. There are typically 11 weeks of senior high outreach at Windy Gap.
Total school year guests - 15,570. School year camping is primarily Young Life areas (76 percent), with churches and Christian schools using the remaining weekends and mid-weeks.
A permanent year-round staff of 30 employees ensure the facility runs well.
